Summer camp for girls ages 12-14 to explore career and educational opportunites in the fields of aviation, construction management, engineering, and industrial safety.

CWU faculty and student volunteers orchestrate the camp which includes hands on activities such as flying airplanes, operating construction equipment, designing rockets, practicing proper safety practices such as hazardous materials training, fire, and safety.

Summer internships through Career Services for students
at CWU interested in opportunities through the Department of Geography. These should be coordinated through Nancy Hultquist, a prof. in the department. Many students need computer mapping and Geographic Information Systems classes as a prerequisite for geo-technical internships.
Others are available for field work, etc., and community
service, or you can design your own in conversation with Nancy.
